John P. Corrigan, Of Counsel
John Corrigan has been practicing law for 29 years and as a CPA for 35 years. Combining such professional training with his MBA allows Mr. Corrigan to analyze complex business and personal matters as they relate to the matrimonial/family law practice and especially with respect to taxes and estate planning.
John began his professional career with Deloitte & Touche LLP in 1982 and after 6 years of service left the role of Senior Tax Manager to pursue additional hands-on experience as Tax Counsel for two publicly traded companies, White River Corporation and Frank B. Hall & Co. until 1996. During this period, John completed his law degree as well as the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) to round out his technical expertise to advise clients on multi-disciplinary issues crossing business, legal, tax and financial matters. Although no longer licensed as a CFP or CVA, the education and formal approach undertaken in those disciplines have proven invaluable in solving complex issues requiring a multi-disciplinary strategy within the matrimonial/family related tax and estate planning practice areas.
Between 1996 and 2006, John was a founding member of The Breakwater Group, LLC, a boutique consulting firm that provided multi-faceted business planning, financial and tax consulting and business valuation services to private companies and high-net worth individuals.
From 2006 to 2016, John was a founding member of Corrigan & Baker, LLC, and in early 2016, further expanded the partnership to become Corrigan, Baker and Levine, LLC, with continued focus on Business Law/Contracts, Mergers & Acquisitions, Start-up Formations, Trusts and Estates, Income Tax Planning and Executive Compensation Plans.
