Miller Zeiderman Expands Team, adding four attorneys as Of Counsel to Launch Trusts & Estates Practice

NEW YORK – October 2023 – Miller Zeiderman, LLP, a divorce, family law and trusts and estates firm in New York City and Westchester County, announced Amy Holzman and her team have joined the firm as Of Counsel. They bring their Trusts and Estates practice to Miller Zeiderman, providing a one-stop-shop for matrimonial and family law clients in need of trusts and estates planning.

 

Ms. Holzman brings decades of experience, having founded the Law Offices of Amy Holzman PLLC in 1999. She started her career at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP in the trusts and estates group.

The other members who have joined the firm as Trusts and Estates counsel include: Mike Abel, Marisa Yang, and  Nicholas Orbon.

 

Mr. Abel is responsible for advising and drafting complex estate, gift and tax planning matters, and consulting with trustees and executors. Mr. Abel has over fifteen years of experience in the legal, banking and financial services industries with a focus on estate planning and trust administration. He began his legal career at a trusts and estates law firm in New York City and then served as a Vice President at U.S. Trust Company (formerly Merrill Lynch Trust Company) and Orange Bank & Trust Company where he was formerly responsible for the management and administration of a diverse group of trust accounts. ​

 

Ms. Yang’s practice includes estate planning and administration for a broad range of clients including implementing complex gift and estate tax strategies. A native Chinese speaker, Ms. Yang has guided clients in successfully solving China related estate issues, especially involving real estate, by using her broad experience, creative foresight, and proactive attitude. She also has extensive experience in every aspect of the real estate industry, as well as closing bank loans for various lending institutions.

 

Mr. Orbon drafts wills, trusts, health care proxies, living wills, memorial instructions, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. He daily assists clients on various probate and estate administration matters. ​
